For some reason, I’m always interested in what other people’s skin care routine’s are, so I thought it would be a good idea to put down what I use on this face of mine. A little bit about my skin, I have oily/combination skin, which means I’m oily in my t-zone and fairly dry around the perimeter of my face. I have really acne prone and sensitive skin. Honestly, if I put my hand on my face, the next day I’ll have acne where I had put my hand, it’s ridiculous and annoying. I’m 24, I feel like this phase of my life should be over, but low and behold, I’m suffering more with acne now than when I was in college. A few years ago, I took Biotin and every since then, my skin has been acting up. I’ve gone from flaky, dry patches on my face to acne that won’t go away for MONTHS. Since then, I’ve been trying to repair my skin and bring it back to it’s former glory, which has passed, but I don’t want to give up! I’ve also been on my way to slowly weeding out products with harsh chemicals such as parabens, fragrance, dyes, etc etc, because I feel like products that are on the natural route are way better for the skin and so far, things have been going well. There are a few products, such as my facial scrubs and masks that aren’t all natural, but I haven’t found anything good enough to replace them. I also suffer from hyperpigmentation, which are dark marks left on the skin after the acne has gone away which is probably THE SINGLE MOST ANNOYING THING EVER. I have no idea how to really get rid of it, but I’m too afraid to really try something drastic to get rid of it because I feel like my skin will go crazy. With that being said, here is my skin care routine, weeeeeeee!

I recently just purchased these three Black Radiance “Dynamic Duo” eye shadows at Rite Aide for $2.99 each. Obviously, the price was what caught my eye first, but then I saw the colors and was really intrigued. I’ve never tried Black Radiance products, but all I knew was that their products are geared towards women of color (YIPPEE!), but obviously, any woman can use their eye shadows and other products as well. I think these are newer products because I’ve never seen them before. I’m a big fan of neutrals, and I on the rare occasions that I do wear make up, I usually do a neutral eye look, so I immediately gravitated towards the more neutral shades. Surprisingly, I picked up a purple duo as well (I guess I was feeling fancy that day?). I picked up three duos, “Star/Struck”, “Dawn/Dusk”, and “Fire/Desire”. Let’s get into the review!

I haven’t written a blog post since OCTOBER. That wasn’t even my intention, but life got in the way and I had to put this on the back burner. I’m finally back, though and I really hope that I can post consistently from here on out. So I decided to start of pretty simple with just a small haul of things I’ve purchased over the past couple weeks. I’m not really the type of person who goes on a shopping spree and buys a bunch of things in bulk because, well, THINGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE NOWADAYS. Granted, these products aren’t that expensive anyway (per usual). If you don’t know this about me, I’m really frugal. Like really frugal. Call me cheap, I don’t even care, but I like bargains. So I picked up a few things, mostly from the drugstore and two pieces of jewelry from Forever21.

Fur is a recurring trend for the autumn/winter season. This is trend that I wasn’t too fond of a few years back, but now that I’m older and wiser (lol okay) in terms of how I style my clothing, I decided to delve into the world of (faux) fur to see what I can do with it. So I’ll be showing you some looks that I came up with using two fur pieces: the fur vest (from Forever21) and the the fur stole (from H&M). I came up with six looks: two casual, two for a night out, and two that are a little bit dressier. I don’t dress outlandishly, so I really had to think  of how I could style these pieces without making it look like I was  going over the top. Hopefully I accomplished these tasks! Let me know how you like them—and if you wear fur, let me know how you style it! Enjoy! (NOTE: for some reason all of my pictures came out kind of blurry, and I only noticed after I uploaded them. My camera was acting a fool, so I apologize!)

I’m pretty much obsessed with shoes, it’s a problem. Looking through my shoe collection, I realized I have a lot of shoes that are super appropriate for the fall season, so I decided to share them with you. They range from booties to thigh high boots to flat shoes. I definitely think think that some of them are a fall essentials, such as riding boots, neutral toned booties, and combat boots. So with that being said, here are the shoes!

I don’t know why, but I keep buying lipsticks, and then I just don’t wear them. It’s the colors! I gravitate towards them, buy them, then they sit in my make up bag  for months on end—so this Fall, I’ve decided that I’m going to start wearing lipsticks more regularly (and by “regularly”, I mean when I go out with friends…not when I’m going to the grocery store or something). Looking through my lipsticks, I’ve compiled quite a collection, and a lot of them work great for Fall, so I decided to get some together and make a “My Fall  Lipsticks” post. I don’t wear make up on the daily, and when I do I don’t really wear that much. The majority of my make up is from the drugstore (SUPER CHEAP) because I’m not a make up master or guru, so I don’t feel the need to spend lots of money on foundations, powders, eye shadows, etc. I’d rather spend the bulk of my money on clothes…and food. So the lipsticks that I do have aren’t going to be these $15 and up lipsticks, I think the most expensive one in the group is $2.99. Another thing to point out is that these colors may not work the best for all skin tones. I’m on the darker side so these colors may look completely different on different skin tones, but just find what works for you!
